Thôn Tha Responsible Tourism Cooperative is located deep in the highlands of the Ha Giang province of Northern Vietnam. Holding Vietnam’s northernmost point, the province’s topography is composed of a breathtaking landscape of limestone pinnacles and granite outcrops, winding passes, and deep green mountainous hillsides that seem to climb up to the clouds. This social enterprise for community development was founded by the Tay ethnic minority community in Thôn Tha in 2014. Since then, locals have been carrying out tourism projects in various remote areas in Northern Vietnam. The cooperative initiatives reduce poverty, create job opportunities for locals, and preserve traditional cultural values by providing authentic tourism experiences.
